- “Since Meghan has been involved in the 20/20 Leadership program she has been willing to approach a topic with a more open mind, she looks to see the different views and balances them before making a decision and we have noticed Meghan can be more creative in persuading us to do something she wants to have done.” Thank you. -- Pat Cassady, mother.
- Although I am sure that I have told you before, I want to thank everyone for all of the hard work and dedication that is put into 20/20 Junior & Senior Leaders’ programs. The things that I learned while apart of the program seem to be having a serious impact on my life as I get ready to go off to college this fall. I was on a flight from visiting the Univ. of Southern California and I sat next to a lady who was the vice-president of a medium-sized company. We talked the entire 3- hour flight about her company, where her sons go to college, my goals in life, where I am planning to go to college, etc. To make a long story short, I told her that one of the schools that I had applied to was MIT. She was so impressed that she gave me her card and made me an offer. She said that if I was accepted to MIT she would give me one of the free airline tickets (frequent flier pts.) that she had accumulated to go visit MIT. Although I ended up getting accepted to USC and not MIT, just the fact that I was able to talk to her with confidence and poise helped me to realize everything my family, and 20/20 were trying to teach me. Again, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did for me, and everything you continue to do for the programs.--Jordan Hobson, Class XII- Junior Leaders; Senior Leaders, Class III—Graduating senior from Sumner Academy 2006
- “Thank you for letting me present the program to high school sophomores attending my school. Speaking in front of people allows me to work on my presentation skills. Traveling throughout the city visiting businesses and agencies allowed me to focus on what I would like to study—social welfare. I would like an internship placement with a social service agency as soon as my college freshman year is completed.” –Molly Maguire, Class I-Senior Leaders Program 2003-2004
- “This program teaches teenagers that it doesn’t matter where one lives, the color of their skin, how one is dressed, or the amount of money one has, it’s who we are and what’s inside of us that makes us special and we have to work hard to be who we want to be!”—Josh Criswell, Graduate Class IX—senior at K-State 2006
- “I enjoyed my participation in the 20/20 Leadership program. The learning experience it provides for the students is exceptional. I only wish such a thing had been around when I was in high school.”—Lewis Diuguid, KC Star
- “I appreciate your having taken the time to write this letter. I also enjoyed the “Honoring Ceremony” on May 4, 2005. What a marvelous program for young people. Your vision and the commitment of so many people to provide opportunities for teens to explore the community, network with professionals and acquire leadership skills are inspiring”.—Nancy Silverforb, counselor Shawnee Mission North

- “20/20 is always looking toward the future for ways to improve the program and challenging current members to discover and achieve their different leadership potentials. I thank you for your hard work and the interest that you took in me. As for next year, I will be going to Boston University, on a four year Army ROTC scholarship. ROTC you ask? Yes, it is considered the best leadership training course in America, and the skills I learned in 20/20 will surely come in handy! David Zak, Class XI of Junior Leaders and Class II of the Senior Leaders program.
- "20/20 Leadership has prepared me for the future in several ways. All of the field trips we took each month opened me up to the different career paths, which were very informative; but it was always interesting to see the connections made with individuals along the way. It has really taught me how important keeping connections is. More importantly, it has shown me how that relates to my community and how I can hopefully give back to my community in ways like this. The time spent visiting with different colleges definitely prepared me for the future, because it helped me decide where to go for college!"—Caitlin Burns, Class III Senior Leaders and Class XIII Junior Leaders 2006
- “In describing my 20/20 Leadership experiences, the self- confidence gained has allowed me to be a leader on the Panhandle State University campus. Thank you! --Jimmy Thompson, Class IX--20/20 Leadership (F.L.Schlagle High School)
- I want to thank you for everything you and the Leadership program have taught me. My last two years in high school were changed and made special by 20/20. It is because of that that I am the strong, independent woman leader that I had hope to become. You have changed my life and I am forever grateful. I look forward to continuing to be involved with 20/20 as I go onto college. Katie Mann, Class XI of 20/20 Leadership and Class II of the Senior Leaders Program. - I just wanted to let you know that this last week, I was in the hospital. My appendix almost burst so I had to go to surgery and spend the following days in the hospital. When I was there I thought about how much I have accomplished this summer. That lead me to think about all the people who have helped me get everything done. I just wanted to let you know, for no reason at all, that I appreciate everything 20/20 Leadership has done for me. I have really excelled because you were there to help me. Thank you so much.—Lant Fogarty, Junior Leaders, Class XII 2004-2005 and Senior Leaders Class III, 2005-2006. (Lant was accepted into West Point in March 2006)

- I just wanted to let you know that I was elected as both Student Council Treasurer and Drama Club President last week and I am required to represent the student body at the first Centennial Celebration meeting. The 20/20 Leadership program has been incredible for me. I can honestly say that I NEVER would have run for ANY office before 20/20, and suddenly I hold two offices and I have been chosen as the Captain of the Cross Country team next season. Thank you so much for giving me the motivation to be a real leader. Thanks again, Jake McMillian, Bishop Ward
